Good Governance Awareness Initiative: ( GGAI)Team led by the Executive Director onwukwe Maureen Kelechi visited the INEC commission headquarter in Abuja, on the 19 th of January 2022.
Barr. Festus Okoye, INEC National commissioner Information and Voter Education (IVEC) hosted the GGAI team.
INEC and GGAI had extensive discussion on issue that borders on electoral management, credible free and fair elections, mitigating against ringing and vote buying.
The two bodies cross fertilized on creative, strategic and innovative ideas to improve the electioneering process in Nigeria.
The commission express readiness to partner with GGAI and other Civil Society Organizations to improve elections and Democracy in Nigeria.
On a final note GGAI called on other institutions of government saddle with election management responsibilities not to betray public trust and imbibe the spirit of patriotism.
