Comrade Onwukwe Maureen Kelechi hails from Umuahia Mbom Ibeku in Abia State, She is a stern and resilient reformist and social justice advocate.

She has made women empowerment, social justice, and good governance advocacy her cause and mission in life. She is a passionate supporter of education for women and girls and has made it her mission to encourage women to be vocal across all spheres of life.

In 2012, She was the first (and only) female President of the Student Union Government of Abia State University Uturu till date and her administration recorded landmark achievements within a short time. Comrade Onwukwe Maureen Kelechi holds BSc in Plant Science and Biotechnology 2013, PGD in Public Administration 2016, a masters degree in Public Administration 2018 and is currently doing a doctorate (Ph.D) in the same field.

She is the CEO of Kelmau Global Services Nigeria Limited which is in existence since 2015, a multi-service construction and procurement company in Nigeria, which has given jobs to youths from every part of Nigeria.

November 2018 she founded a Non-profit Organization. The Organization’s major objective is entrenching good governance and democratic principles in the Nigerian polity through policy advocacy, public sensitization, empowerment, and training.

Through this organization, she has been at the forefront of the fight against mismanagement in governance in the country and has been advocating for good governance in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The organization has recorded successes as it has organized a series of sensitizations, election observations, public enlightenment programs against corruption and vote buying at various fora including academic institutions, distribution of consumables to the downtrodden, marketplaces and rural communities. She is a member in various groups that specializes in giving back to the society.
